Unique Bodyplan Races
Unique bodyplan races do not follow the exact structure of most other races - they may have four legs, multiple more legs, digitigrade legs, or bodies that serve as extremely fluid and therefore do not require the standard bodyplan to survive.
Races that simply have four arms alone are not included in this bracket.

Deer
Phonetics: dear
Lifespan: 200-400 Height: 4'07"-12'03" Diet: (variant-dependent) Sex: Binary Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Violent, racist, aggressive, cold-hearted |
Deer can be one of two variants, depending on what time of day they were born - a day variant, with brighter colors and an herbivorous diet; or a night variant, with large horns and carnivorous cravings. Both variants hate each other, and many will intentionally delay births to get children who are of the type that they are.
Well-known for rampant paranoia and racism, Deer are deeply untrusting and exceptionally difficult to befriend. They automatically assume the worst of other people, and first impressions are everything to them - if one doesn't impress at the first glance, a Deer won't care to give a second look at all. Despite that, they do fiercely care about their family and close friends, and will violently stomp on anyone who hurts them. Literally stomp. They'll also happily murder anyone who dares harm nature or the natural wonders that the neighborhood Deer have taken a shining to. Unlike Reindeer, Deer's front feet are actually feet, not hooves. They also do not have wings. |
Reindeer
Phonetics: rain-deer
Lifespan: 400-500 Height: 7'00"-13'00" Diet: Omnivore Sex: Anbinary Type: Non-Pony (Flying) Stereotype: Mystical, distant, caring, honest |
Where Deer are violent and caustic, Reindeer are quiet and withdrawn. They're mostly isolationists, preferring to live absolutely alone with minimal contact with others. In fact, it's not unheard of for Reindeer to disappear for months with no contact with their friends and then reappear briefly just to show that no, they're not quite dead yet.
They have absolutely massive wings, although flight is a serious struggle with how heavy their bodies are. The most a Reindeer can manage is some minor gliding from high places, and even then, they're not nearly as graceful as the other flying races. Their front feet are hooves. Even with the visual similarities between Deer and Reindeer, Reindeer don't enjoy the comparison. Deer, to them, are disgraceful and violent, and there's no reason to punch people when diplomacy is sitting right there, waiting to be used. Only idiots prefer fighting first, obviously. Ignore their smug smiles. |
Chilopoda
Phonetics: CHY-lo-po-da
Lifespan: (Indefinite) Height: (Indefinite) Diet: Omnivore Sex: Sexless Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Overbearing, mean, eccentric, weird |
Chilopoda have the appearance of centipedes from their waist down, with many wriggling feet and antennae on the top of their head. Their bodies grow indefinitely as they age, and quite literally never stop. Chilopoda can only lose length by cutting off a part of their lower body, which is nonlethal to them. If the piece is large enough, it will form a baby Chilopoda in a few hours, and the cycle begins anew. All Chilopoda are Immortals.
Generally, they don't mind hanging out with the other races, but struggle to deal with concepts of family and children. Chilopoda don't see their spawn as their offspring, and don't see their progenitors as their parents. In fact, most don't even really know who their progenitors are - it's just not discussed, and usually never show up. They tend towards introversion and isolation, and aren't afraid to snap at others or sass them if their buttons were pressed too hard. Empathy is also a difficult idea to grasp, especially when it has no immediate rewards associated with it. If you want to get on their good side, offer some food or other bribe. |
Bee
Phonetics: be
Lifespan: 500-800 Height: 7'00"-9'00" Diet: Insectivore Sex: Anbinary Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Hard-working, diligent, dedicated |
Bees are quiet, but dedicated workers, putting in the long hours and long nights when no one else will. They quickly become flustered and upset if work isn't finished, and will exhaust themselves thoroughly just to avoid having to turn something in late or in a sub-par fashion.
They have digitigrade legs, which end in shiny hooves. Their tails are small and short, and they have four horns resting on their heads. On their backs lay two insect-like wings, slightly transparent. If there's nothing absolutely integral for a Bee to work on, they do enjoy mingling with their coworkers and neighbors. Personally, they find it important to cultivate a strong social network, and enjoy spending time motivating others to work just as hard as they do. Except Wasps. Bees find them somewhat overbearing and needy, and oftentimes find themselves lamenting that the others aren't more independent. Still, Bees are too kindly to tell Wasps off most of the time, and the most they do is pout privately. * The image to the side is currently inaccurate. |
Wasp
Phonetics: wasp
Lifespan: 500-800 Height: 8'00"-10'00" Diet: Omnivore Sex: Binary Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Wistful, desperate, needy |
There is one thing that Wasps care about: Bees. They will travel through hell and high water to find a Bee, and then linger awkwardly in the background, holding flowers and quietly wishing that their true love would come talk to them.
Equipped with a long stinger and various glass bands full of Magninium scattered around their body, Wasps can breathe out a stream of gaseous Magninium that is easy to ignite and serves as a defense mechanism. Their powers would be especially useful for an aggressive or warlike race, but Wasps don't have any drive to hurt others... unless it's to get a Bee's attention. They're rather rare, and only really seem to crop up where Bees gather. They're shy and clingy, but not jealous or hateful about it. Wasps can't bear to risk the idea of their beloved Bees hating them, so they avoid anything negative at all costs. When procreating with Bees, the child will always, without fail, be a Wasp. * Image is currently inaccurate. |
Beaut
Phonetics: bee-YOUT
Lifespan: 500-700 Height: (Any) Diet: Omnivore Sex: Sexless Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Violent, cruel, aggressive, destructive |
Beauts are perfect shapeshifters, able to mold their bodies like clay. They don't technically even need any organs or even a skeleton - they can just make themselves into a puddle on the ground and slide around that way. The only constraint they have is the amount of mass they were born with, which they can't readily edit without consuming pure magic. As such, they have absolutely no standard appearance.
They live in underground, huge structures called Hives, led by a single Beaut and their inner circle. Coups and violent fights for leadership are common, as part of Beaut's hyper-aggressive and destructive culture. Survival of the strongest is taken as gospel, to them. Within their throat is an ovipositor, and each Beaut produces a few eggs a month. These can be deposited into another sentient being (typically through the mouth, into the stomach) so that the babies inside can feed off of their Magninium and produce healthy Beauts, but if no viable host is present, the Beaut can cough them up and crush (or consume) the unfertilized eggs instead. Beauts are the only race incapable of using magic unless they are a lesser god or higher on the god spectrum. |
Zlimi
Phonetics: ZLY-me
Lifespan: (Indefinite) Height: 6'00"-10'00" Diet: Affection Sex: Sexless Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Manipulative, attention-seeking, sweet |
Zlimi are almost entirely made out of slime, encased in a thin membrane. They can open this membrane to allow things to enter their slime, and often use it like a pocket. They have no internal organs save for eyes - even their mouths are completely fake and made out of slime!
Within their bodies is a small glass core, shaped unique per individual. It fills with raw Magninium the more the Zlimi feeds... on affection. Healthy Zlimi have full cores, and while empty cores alone won't kill them, Zlimi will become lethargic and sickly if left too long. They feed directly off of positive attention - the mere mention of their name, even if not in their presence, is like a tasty snack. As such, they tend to be extremely ass-kissing and go into publically available careers, such as politicians, public speakers, and activists. When they feel ready to produce a child, a Zlimi will submerge something small in their core. After a few months, they can remove the new, unique core, which will form into a child in a few days. |
Serkie
Phonetics: SAIR-keys
Lifespan: 170-200 Height: 4'00"-9'00" Diet: Omnivore Sex: Binary Type: Non-Pony Stereotype: Unintelligent, dangerous, isolationist |
Serkies are private and quiet, living their lives in dens with their partner(s) and raising children. They tend to lack ambition and drive, preferring to settle for a simpler life with less strings attached and stressors to worry about.
They're comprised of snake from the waist down, and move just like a snake does. Their tail can be of any length, and comprises the majority of their height. It is incredibly thick with both hard scales and muscle, allowing the Serkie a massive range of movement. Other races often assume they're hiding a violent nature or cruel jokes, as Serkies are unabashedly innocent and quiet. And, well, you can't trust a snake, right? Really, though, they do just enjoy taking care of their house and family. Serkies commonly go into animal husbandry careers, such as veterinary practice and zookeeping, enjoying the fulfillment they get out of training and caring for non-sentient beings. |
